Birchwood Lakes Colony Club

Medford, NJ

In the 1950s, several developers converted a cranberry bog into a neighborhood with three lakes. The surface area of the lakes is 22 acres. 192 home sites plus community areas were created. The community areas include a beautiful sand beach with picnic tables, swings & slides, a community Clubhouse, a horseshoe court, a basketball court, a softball field, a tennis court and a parking lot. The Clubhouse is heated and air conditioned. Members can reserve the Clubhouse for dinners, reunions, wedding receptions, etc.

The developers also established the Birchwood Lakes Colony Club, BLCC.

BLCC is a voluntary organization with over 90% of the residents as members. There are annual dues of $300.00 which are used to maintain the lakes, dams, common grounds and Clubhouse.
